Principal Architect
At Liquid Architects, we are proud to be led by Architect Ishan Akhtar (B.Arch.), a distinguished graduate of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. With over a decade of experience, Ishan brings a wealth of expertise to a diverse array of projects, including group housing, apartments, hospitals, high-rises, interior design, and renovations. His groundbreaking research on earthquake-resistant vernacular architecture has fueled his dedication to low-cost housing and architecture for the masses.
Ishan's innovative designs have garnered recognition in international competitions, where he has received honorary mentions for his creative solutions. A passionate advocate for ethical building practices, he is committed to educating clients on best practices and cost-effective strategies. His forthcoming book, "Why You Need an Architect," offers compelling insights into the pitfalls of DIY construction and the advantages of professional guidance, highlighting real-life cases of budget overruns, incomplete projects, and subpar results.
Despite his potential to make a mark on a global scale, Ishan has chosen to focus on his hometown, driven by a mission to enhance local living standards through exceptional design and construction. His dedication to this cause is reflected in his empanelment with the Urban Development and Housing Department, Bihar, where he is pioneering a new era of architectural excellence and setting a benchmark for the future.
